We cycled the epic Gold Hill route and this is a must stop to enjoy a quick bite. We tried the famous grilled cheese sandwich (added ham) and it was perfectly done! Staff were so friendly and there’s just a relaxed ambience. I would definitely recommend this iconic place

I absolutely love this place! For me it’s like stepping back in time when every rural community had its own “country” store. Growing up, I always loved those places and the Gold Hill Store is one of the last. It’s the real deal! You can’t just conjure up this kind of vibe. It’s more nostalgic than your favorite Norman Rockwell painting and more authentic than that pair of Levis 501s you’ve had since the 80s. I love to sit by the wood stove and just soak it all in…it just makes me happy! While you’re sitting by that wood stove reminiscing, have a slice of pie and a coffee! The food is just as incredible as the atmosphere. The apple pie and carrot cake, in particular, are both just next level! The staff is friendly and always welcoming. Do yourself a favor and visit the Gold Hill Store. You’ll be glad you did!

True kindness and sublime service. Ran out of water on a poorly planned bike ride and they helped me rehydrate and refuel on incredible salted chocolate chip cookies almost an hour after close after calling ahead. The cookies were absolutely top knotch! Talk about saviors and modern day heroes amidst us. Forever indebted to these folks and plan to be a lifetime customer from now on!

What a great little spot! A friend took me here and it was amazing. The pizza is absolutely killer, and the cookies are out of this world. Definitely worth a trip!! Will be back

Damn fine people at the Gold Hill store. Food was top notch as well - had a pastrami Sammy and it hit the spot!

Dang good cookies and pastrami sandwiches! The place was packed but the staff were still friendly and the service was still good. Bar and cafe options were good too! They've got a cozy sitting area with games to play and a stage outback.

Love this place. Been coming here for 5 years now. They have done lots of remodel in past year or so. They lived the wood burner to the right wall, I did not see when walking in. Use to be dead center front when walking in. Not as impressive as it use to be. Had more eye appeal. But understand why. Place is so much more spacious. They also have a new stage hang out area in bk. We had espresso martini and old fashion. Very tasty. Well done.

I stopped here after a long climb up the mountain. There were, not surprisingly, tons of bikers. As advertised, the fresh chocolate chip cookies were simply amazing, as was the coffee. Very friendly service, too, ready and willing to refill water bottles. A must stop if at the top of your climb to give yourself a little reward.

Enjoyed stopping here to refuel after a hike! Very neat experience and the cookie was warmy and gooey and very indulgent. There's not a ton of indoor seating so that was mostly full and a consistent stream of people coming (still lots of cyclists in February) but didn't have to wait long to order. Some snow on the upper parts of the road today!

This place is a gem! Interesting crowd, good drinks, great cheeseburgers. Service is friendly but they take their time with drinks and the place gets busy in the evening, so beware, you may wait in line for more than 20 minutes before you can place an order. Street parking is easy if you get there early. On a Friday night, I got there around 5PM and parked right in front. I was 2 hours early for the band. Other times if I get there after 7PM, I have to park really far away.
